Drop In at Hackney
Comfort, Jimmy, Sascha, Jo, Shaun and Sophia welcome you to the Drop In at our Hackney Church, 219 Mare Street, E8.
PLEASE NOTE: The Drop In is closed during July 2008. We re-open on August 5th.
The Drop In is open most Tuesday mornings at the new time of 10 am to noon for tea, coffee, biscuits, chat, read the newspapers, play table tennis, buy second-hand paperbacks or discuss Kiekegaard. On the second Tuesday of each month, it is followed by a service of Holy Communion at noon. Our next Holy Communions are on Tuesday 15 July and Tuesday 12 August at noon.
If you're passing, why not drop in?
The Drop In is closed on Tuesdays following a Bank Holiday Monday. We will be closed on 26 August 2008.
Drop In People
Meet some of the people who have dropped in to our Hackney Church on Tuesday mornings.
From top left Sascha shakes a tune while grandmother Jo looks on. Nana and Comfort get the tea and coffee ready and are also with Nick, a student minister, who joined us during his placement. Lisa, Fiona & Carroll from Cornwall, drop in during their holiday in London. From 2nd row left Philip, Madeleine & Vera are new regulars to the Drop In. Modou, Adelaide, and Velinda & Mavis catch up on the newspapers.
From left Kros & Sinmi play table tennis. Narone & Gary, the local Safer Neighbourhoods police community support officers, often drop in.
Anyone for (table) tennis?
