Community Health Day


In shape display

85 adults and children came to the first Community Health Day at Chatsworth Road Luncheon Club in our Clapton Park church. It was so succesful that 200 came to the next one.

There were various stalls, activies, health practioners and food.

Here, Merlin checks out the In Shape display. In Shape is a healthy living network for people aged 50+.

Community Health Day Links

The following organisations helped to make the Community Health Day such a success.

AgeWell in Hackney - takes a holistic approach to help improve the health and well-being of Hackney residents between 50 and 65.

Hoxton Health Group - provides complementary therapies for men and women over 60 who live or work in the City of London or Hackney.

In Shape - is a healthly living network which aims to create local, affordable opportunities for people over 50 in Hackney to live healthy, active and rewarding lives.

Social Action for Health - works with communities to address issues that effect their health and well being.


Community Health Day Thank You

A big Thank You to the Community Empowerment Network for funding the day, to Suj Ahmed from Social Action for Health for arranging the stalls, practitioners and activities and to Beatrice McClean from the Luncheon Club for arranging the food and hall.
